What do Google's Gemini plans include?

Google sells the Gemini app in tiers. The basic tier gives access to the Flash-Lite model plus image generation and editing, Deep Research, Gemini Live and limited Flow access; Google AI Plus raises limits and adds the Flash model; Google AI Pro adds the Pro model and higher limits; Google AI Ultra sits on top with the highest limits and storage (Google). Prices are set per country and change, so the plan page is the source.

How is this different from the Gemini app?

Is Google Gemini free?

Google's basic Gemini tier costs nothing and includes the Flash-Lite model with limits; AI Plus, Pro and Ultra are paid, with prices set per country on Google's plan page (see Sources). Yes, through Nano Banana, Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image model, in the image composer at 12 Gems per square image. It edits a photo from a plain-language prompt or generates from text. Nano Banana Pro and Nano Banana 2 are not in UniqAI. The chat models themselves answer in text.

Do I need a Google account?

No. UniqAI reaches Gemini through Google's API under its own account; you sign in to UniqAI and pick the model. The Gem cost is shown before each message. UniqAI is not affiliated with Google.

What is Google AI Studio?

Google's developer tool for testing Gemini models and building with the Gemini API, separate from the consumer Gemini app. UniqAI is neither: it is a chat and media composer that uses the API behind the scenes, so there is no key, project or quota to manage.

Flash Lite or 2.5 Pro: which should I pick?

Flash Lite at 1 Gem for quick questions, short rewrites and reading a photo. Gemini 2.5 Pro at 5 Gems for long documents, structured plans and code. On the free plan Pro answers stop at 1,024 output tokens; paid plans allow 2,048. Try both on one question and compare.
