Paste the text of your Midjourney prompt
Leave out the parameters after the double dashes; the words carry over as they are.
Pick Flux Schnell, Nano Banana or FLUX 1.1 Pro
3, 12 or 18 Gems per image, shown before you generate. Choose the aspect ratio from the list instead of --ar.

What is Midjourney, and why look for an alternative?
Midjourney is a subscription image and video generator known for its painterly, art-directed look. It sells four plans, Basic, Standard, Pro and Mega, at $10, $30, $60 and $120 a month, or 20% less on an annual plan paid upfront; each plan includes a block of Fast GPU time, from 3.3 hours a month on Basic to 60 on Mega (Comparing Midjourney Plans). There is no free trial on Discord or on midjourney.com (Free Trials). Subscribers can create on the website or in Discord (Web vs Discord). People look elsewhere when they make a few images a month and do not want a subscription, when they want to edit a photo they already have rather than prompt from scratch, or when they want a named third-party model with a fixed price per image. UniqAI does not run Midjourney's model; this page explains what it runs instead and what changes when you switch.
Midjourney vs UniqAI: what changes for a switcher
| Midjourney | UniqAI | |
|---|---|---|
| Price model | Subscription: $10, $30, $60 or $120 a month (20% off annually), billed whether or not you generate | Per image: Flux Schnell 3 Gems, Nano Banana 12, FLUX 1.1 Pro 18. Gem packs from $1.99; plans from $6.99 a week |
| Cost of one image | Included in Fast GPU hours (3.3 h a month on Basic); extra GPU time $4 an hour | ≈ $0.01 on Flux Schnell, ≈ $0.06 on Nano Banana, ≈ $0.09 on FLUX 1.1 Pro, valued at the 1,000-Gem pack ($4.99) |
| Trial | None on Discord or the website | A new account starts with 30 Gems, enough for ten Flux Schnell images |
| Where it runs | midjourney.com or Discord, with a subscription | Browser composer on desktop and mobile; no Discord |
| Models | Midjourney's own versions (--v) and Niji | Flux Schnell and FLUX 1.1 Pro (Black Forest Labs), Nano Banana (Google) |
| Editing your own photo | Prompt-first; reference images and the web Editor shape a generation | Nano Banana edits the photo you upload and keeps the rest of it; every model accepts a source image |
| Aspect ratio | Square by default, changed with --ar | Picked from a list: 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, 3:2 on Flux; Nano Banana is 1:1 only |
| Style controls | --stylize, --sref style codes, --chaos, --no, personalization profiles | None as switches; the look is set by the words in the prompt and the model you pick |
| Community and sharing | Public feed, Explore page, Discord channels; Stealth Mode on Pro and Mega | No community feed; results stay in your account |
Midjourney prices and features from its help center on October 24, 2026 (see Sources). UniqAI costs as charged in the composer; FLUX 1.1 Pro needs a paid plan. The dollar figures per image use the same method as the pricing page.
How does per-image pricing compare with a Midjourney plan?
Midjourney's Basic plan is $10 a month whether you make one image or a few hundred, and its budget is measured in GPU minutes rather than images. UniqAI charges Gems per image: 3 on Flux Schnell, 12 on Nano Banana, 18 on FLUX 1.1 Pro. Valued at the 1,000-Gem pack ($4.99), that is about one cent, six cents and nine cents an image. A 300-Gem pack costs $1.99 and covers 100 Flux Schnell images or 25 Nano Banana edits; the Weekly plan is $6.99 for 250 Gems a week. If you generate in bulk every day, a Midjourney plan with Relax mode may cost less per image; if you make a handful of images a week, paying per image usually costs less. The full table of plans, packs and per-model costs is on the pricing page.
Which UniqAI model replaces Midjourney for what?
For illustration, concept art and stylized scenes from text, start with Flux Schnell (3 Gems) and move to FLUX 1.1 Pro (18 Gems, paid plan) when you need detail and closer prompt following; both come from Black Forest Labs, and both are different models from Midjourney's, so the look will differ. For changing a photo you already have, such as the background, outfit or era, use Nano Banana (12 Gems): it is Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, made for edits described in plain language that leave the rest of the picture alone. Midjourney is prompt-first and uses your photos as references for a new generation; Nano Banana starts from the photo itself. All three models are listed with their costs on the AI image generator page.
Move your prompt: three Midjourney prompts rewritten
Oil painting of a lighthouse on a sea cliff at dusk, towering dramatic clouds lit from below, thick visible brushstrokes, rich painterly color, strong artistic stylization, canvas texture.
Run on Flux SchnellPortrait of a street musician with an accordion, 35 mm film photograph, muted teal and amber palette, soft overcast light, slight grain, shallow depth of field, off-center composition.
Run on Flux SchnellChange the background to a rainy Tokyo street at night with neon reflections on wet asphalt. Keep my face, hair, glasses and jacket exactly as in the photo; match the lighting to the scene.
Run on Flux SchnellWhat carries over from a Midjourney prompt, and what does not?
The text does; the parameters do not. Midjourney puts its controls after the prompt as double-dash parameters (Parameter List); UniqAI has no parameter syntax, so delete everything from the first -- onward and handle each setting as below.
- Carries over: subject, medium, lighting, mood and composition words. Flux follows long descriptive prompts well.
- --ar: pick the aspect ratio from the list instead (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9 or 3:2 on Flux; Nano Banana is square only).
- --v and --niji: no equivalent. There are no Midjourney versions here; you choose between Flux Schnell, FLUX 1.1 Pro and Nano Banana.
- --stylize and --raw: no slider. Write the degree of stylization into the prompt ('strong painterly stylization' or 'plain documentary photo').
- --sref and style codes: no equivalent. Describe the style in words: medium, palette, era, lens, texture.
- --chaos, --weird, --seed: not available; run the prompt again for a new variation.
- --no: no negative field. Say what you want in the frame rather than what to exclude.
- --oref and reference photos: upload the photo. Nano Banana edits it in place; Flux uses it as a source image.
- Midjourney's look: does not transfer. Every model renders differently, so run one prompt on two models and keep the one you prefer.
What does UniqAI not have that Midjourney does?
No community feed or Explore page, no Discord, no style reference codes or personalization profiles, no stylize or chaos controls, no Midjourney-style Editor with Vary Region inpainting or pan, no upscaler as a separate tool (the Image Enhancer is a 12-Gem Nano Banana edit, not a resolution upscale), and no Midjourney model at all, so its specific aesthetic is not available here. Nano Banana outputs square images only. If those are what you use Midjourney for, it remains the better fit. What UniqAI offers instead: three named models with a visible cost per image, photo editing that starts from your own photo, and video and chat in the same account. Questions about Midjourney Alternative
Is Midjourney free?
No. Midjourney's help center says no free trial is available on Discord or on midjourney.com; access is through the Basic ($10), Standard ($30), Pro ($60) or Mega ($120) monthly plans, 20% less when paid annually. UniqAI prices each image instead: 3 Gems on Flux Schnell, 12 on Nano Banana, 18 on FLUX 1.1 Pro (paid plan). A new account starts with 30 Gems.
Can I use Midjourney's model in UniqAI?
No. Midjourney's model is available only through Midjourney's own website and Discord. UniqAI runs Flux Schnell and FLUX 1.1 Pro from Black Forest Labs and Nano Banana from Google. They take the same kind of text prompt, but the images look different, so compare a few before you decide.
Will my Midjourney prompts work on Flux?
The descriptive part will. Paste the text and remove the parameters: --ar becomes the aspect-ratio picker, --v has no counterpart, and --stylize, --sref, --chaos and --no have to be written out in words or dropped. Three rewritten prompts are above; run one on Flux Schnell and once more on FLUX 1.1 Pro to see the difference.
Which is better for editing my own photos?
Nano Banana in UniqAI starts from your photo and changes only what you ask, at 12 Gems an image, square output. Midjourney is prompt-first: your photo acts as a reference for a new generation, and the web Editor and Vary Region work on images Midjourney made. For a background swap or an outfit change on a real photo, Nano Banana is the simpler route.
Is there a Midjourney alternative without Discord or a subscription?
Yes. UniqAI runs in the browser on desktop and mobile, with nothing to install and no Discord account. Flux Schnell and Nano Banana work without a paid plan, paid for in Gems per image; FLUX 1.1 Pro needs a plan. Plans start at $6.99 a week and Gem packs at $1.99; everything is listed on the pricing page.
